Andrew Montlake
After graduating in 1992 with a BA (Hons) in Economics & Politics and a brief career in Direct Marketing, Andrew started in the mortgage industry in February 1994, at John Charcol where he became part of the top performing team.
In June 2000, he joined Cobalt Capital and was responsible for successfully growing the Cobalt brand as Head of PR and Marketing.
In 2009 Andrew was a founder of The Coreco Group and as Communications Director he is regularly quoted in the National Press with appearances on National TV and Radio. More commonly known as "Monty" he is the author of a highly acclaimed Mortgage Blog, was voted "Mortgage Personality of the Year" in 2008 and won the award for "Best Press Spokesperson" 2011 at The British Mortgage Awards.
Andrew continues to work at the coal face, writing mortgage business and looking after clients.
Andrew is a huge Liverpool supporter and still plays football at an extremely low level! He also plays the guitar, writes songs and has been in a number of bands.
